The WAVEX TECHNOLOGY™ is a vibration dampening technology which incorporates a strategically placed series of wavex that are visible on the product.

The premise for the WAVEX TECHNOLOGY™ follows Newton's first law of motion. Based on the principles of this law, vibrations resulting from impact will travel continuously through a straight line. The WAVEX TECHNOLOGY™ strategically employs a series of waves on a product which compels such forces to continuously change their direction, effectively dampening the vibration before it reaches the user's forearm.

This forms the basis of the WAVEX TECHNOLOGY™, and was the departure point for founder, Dr. Suk-Ho Ryu..

Due to a chronic tennis elbow, Dr. Suk-Ho Ryu, an avid tennis player, could no longer play his favorite game. Determined to resume his passion, he studied the physiological effects of vibration and shock stress on tennis players. His research proved that most racquets perform only as rigid support, transferring to the forearm all the shock of the racquet hitting the ball. The ideal tennis racquet, Dr. Suk-Ho Ryu concluded should be an extension of the arm.

Based on this research, Dr. Ryu developed a revolutionary tennis racquet incorporating a series of waves in the frame and throat of the racquet, which effectively absorbs vibration.

Results from independent testing have "conclusively identified that the Wavex design significantly reduced the duration of vibration when utilized in the tennis racquet." These test results prove that the WAVEX TECHNOLOGY™ dissipates more vibration than any other product currently on the market. Furthermore, on average a player is 3 times more likely to feel vibration or shock in their arm or shoulder with other racquets as opposed to Wavex racquets.

The Wavex racquet does not only reduce the vibration, preventing tennis elbow and injuries, but also enhances players' power and control.

Wavex is able to apply its technology to consumer and industrial products that are molded from graphite, fiberglass or any other composite materials to produce products with superior performance charactersistics over competing products, while at the same time, reducing vibration.

Providing extra comfort, and enhanced performance, WAVEX TECHNOLOGY™ has now been applied to hammer handles, high performance golf shafts, hockey stick shafts, and cricket bat handles. Within the next few years Wavex expects to develop a complete family of WAVEX TECHNOLOGY™ based products, created with the sole purpose of further enhancing their performance and enjoyment.
